Who we are
The Pursuit Bureau is the public name of Pursuit Bureau LLC (“we,” “us”). We provide administrative support to contractors for California state Invitation for Bid (IFB) and Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) solicitations. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Pursuit Bureau LLC is a private company. It is not a government agency and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of California or any state agency. The Pursuit Bureau provides administrative support only, not legal advice, and does not guarantee any award, eligibility, or procurement outcome.
Information the request form collects
We collect only what you choose to enter in the request form, plus a reference number we generate and the date and time we receive the request.
- Contact information: your name, business name, business email address, and, optionally, a phone number.
- License information: your CSLB license number and classification, or a note that your work does not require a license or that you are not sure.
- Solicitation information: the issuing agency, solicitation type and number, a link to the public solicitation, the bid deadline (date, time, and time zone), the submission method and deadline rule if you know them, and the kinds of help you are looking for.
- Notes: any free-text comments you add.
- Your confirmations: that we may contact you about the request, and that you understand a request does not create an engagement.
Please do not enter bid prices, Social Security numbers, banking details, or other sensitive personal information. The form does not accept file uploads.
The form also contains a hidden anti-spam field and a timer that checks how long the form was open. Their only purpose is to help us recognize automated submissions.
What we do not collect
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, or content loaded from other websites. It does not ask you to create an account.
How we use information
- To review your request, including the solicitation, deadline, and requirements, and to decide whether we can help.
- To reply to you, including to propose a scope, fee, and expected turnaround, to ask for more information, or to decline.
- To provide agreed services if an engagement is accepted.
- To protect the website and the request form from spam and misuse.
- To keep business records and meet legal obligations.
The solicitations you ask us about are public. If we are engaged, you may share additional documents with us. Those are used only for the agreed work, and any further handling terms will be stated in the written engagement terms.
Who receives information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may use service providers, such as website hosting and email services, to operate the website and handle requests, and they may process information only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the information you send us. No website or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is one reason we ask you not to send sensitive personal or financial information.
How long we keep information
We keep request information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including responding to you, providing any agreed services, keeping business records, and meeting legal obligations. After that, we delete it or remove identifying details.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether the law applies to our business, you may have rights over your personal information, such as asking what we hold about you, asking us to correct or delete it, and asking us not to sell or share it. We do not sell personal information. We will respond to requests as applicable law requires, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on one. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
